Building the Next Century of Our Parks
On October 14–16, 2007, the National Park Foundation will convene the first-ever leadership summit to provoke thought and spark dialogue on supporting our national parks in the next century.
Objectives
The Leadership Summit will raise national visibility and understanding of the need and opportunity for park philanthropy and private sector partnership and meet these objectives:
- Strengthen the public profile of parks by displaying their meaningful roles in American society
- Generate momentum toward increased philanthropic support of parks
- Explore funding options including public and private opportunities and responsibilities
- Network with park supporters and organizations

This invitation-only gathering will be attended by thought leaders from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds to ensure a rich and multilayered dialogue.
