National Park Foundation Leadership Summit Awards Dinner

Lady Bird Johnson “lit a fire in this country that still burns.”

-George Hartzog, Former National Park Service Director

On October 15, 2007, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, the National Park Foundation will honor Lady Bird Johnson at the Leadership Summit Awards Dinner. Nowhere has the impact of Lady Bird Johnson’s work for America been more strongly felt than in the area of park philanthropy. In 1967, with her support, Congress chartered the National Park Foundation to connect Americans to their parks and further the conservation of natural, scenic, historic, educational, inspirational, and recreational resources for future generations of Americans.

($350 for Registrants and $1,000 for Registrant Guests; complimentary for Sponsors and their guests).
